Are EU citizens allowed to have accounts in other nations? EU Regulations explicitly prohibit any limitation on foreign bank accounts in the EU or 3rd countries. Don't know about other EU countries, but in Germany I don't have to declare having a foreign bank account unless there are capital gains....
