Hi,

The Swanick antenna's are located in Venor on the Isle of Wight. They are also relay to the other sites, so you can hear the aircraft on the two main freqs. 135.050 and 129.425.

But the real fact of the matter is that crashes don't happen that often, and can be over in secs. A parachutes no good if your aircraft decompresses at 30,000 feet! GULP. A very sad day for spotting! There is now no access to Gatwicks outside desk, just a chain at the bottom of the stairs saying "closed".

The observation desk is also another option, although shooting through glass has problems! I live in Fareham, not far away, and can second all the positions above. I find it a shame that the car park is out of bounds, although you can take shots if you stay close to your car. This is my first post! ...
