I don't quite understand their new strategy of opening bases in western Europe. Lower labor costs in eastern Europe is what brought them success. Now they are trapped in places like London and Vienna with a lot of competition and the next downturn may be just around the corner... Perhaps they should...

About 655€ return BCN-MEX on all searches I did. I guess they will have to adjust the prices a little. There are plenty of options around 400€.

I'm not a smoker and I don't understand why they had to close those spaces. They could have charged an entrance fee and put the money to better use. $1 or $2 would have been fairly reasonable and that amounts to a lot of money at the end of the day.

2. Both accidents are related: pilots don't know/can't disable auto-trim (or however is called).

The crash site is around 60km (37 miles) south-east of the Ethiopian capital. How do you know it didnt climb much?

Yes, ZAZ has a great location. It's a pity it doesn't have direct a passanger connection to the HSR network. Also rail cargo as percentage of total is very small in Spain as a whole. Lack of foresight by the authorities.

J class hardproduct is also inferior on the 744 (not fully flat) than it is on the 77W Is it more difficult to sleep in those seats than it is in F? Is it much louder in the J cabin or something? The only way I would understand the captain's actions is if the crew were going to miss an entire night...

The article says they hit the West side wall, that means the were taking off from RWY 27. According to Google earth there is no taxiway so they had to taxi on the runway and then turn around for take off.
