This flight is planned pretty much at MTOW every day. It's tough having a 763 on this route. With a shorter Alternate you can get everyone on. Longer Alternate and you're for sure bumping a few thousand pounds of payload.

UA currently handles the flight above the wings, not sure who handles under the wings though it might be UA as well. UA already handles 5-6 flights between 6-8am, now they'll have to handle 2 more unless AS moves to have AA handle. Im pretty sure DGS has always handled above and below wing for them...

A mobile tower is on the way down from Kansas City. Supposed to arrive sometime Saturday and then will take upwards of 6 hours to get operational. It's unknown if the mobile tower will be able to support night operations. ZHU will continue to assume responsibility for the TRACON.
