I think the CEO is probably more correct than you imagine...
Their service standards are junk but no worse than any other UK airline on similar routes. Any passenger who complains that they had to pay for a bag on their sub 50 pound fare across the continent is pretty unreasonable.

They might be older, but well-maintained examples should be able to operate fairly efficiently for another 10 years without too much headache. They will need a few more to account for their expanded network and the additional downtime they'll require over the next decade, but the significantly lower...

I hope BW returns to GCM. Cayman-Jamaica is one of the busiest air corridors in the Caribbean... and needs competition. And if they do it right (I would suggest maybe just extend the milk run so it connects seamlessly to BGI and POS) it should operate successfully for both BW and KX.
