Re: Swiss grounded all its A220 after an engine problem

Not sure if it’s relevant - on Saturday 12th October I was on an A220 LX390 and it was cruising at FL280. Found it a little strange that as the flight was half full. I went on FR24 later that day and noticed that the plane has never gone above this FL when it went to and came back from Madrid the sa...

Re: Why does Swiss not use E Gates in ZRH for narrowbodies?

I've been on delayed LX327s before (scheduled arrival from LHR 21:30), that have gone to E gates to enable transfers on the departures around 22:40 to SIN, GRU, BKK, HKG and TLV - with the 23:00 curfew, transiting from D Gates would have been pushing it time wise, otherwise. But with the inbound Ai...

I understand what you meant - but I thought CX being well represented in Europe and mostly by 350 and 77W, will have some maintenance contract in place to make sure they minimise the AOG time. Media reports: CX 216 delayed for 51 hours

It was reported widely reported on the media in Hong Kong that this flight scheduled to depart Manchester on 20th July is some 51 hours delayed. Due to the fact that it is bank holiday in the UK, most passengers could not be rebooked to other flights. The reason for the long delay was due to the wai...

Most if not all of them are heavily delayed. I know there is thunderstorm around HKG area but seems only flights to Europe are very late.
