I'm for it. Why not? Look at it from a business perspective. AA CEO Arpey himself said that it was not likely the industry can sustain growth in shareholder value. Let's remember these are public corporations which must ultumately answer to their o...Jump to post
I have a LanChile 707 in glasgow from the 70's
Got it from another site. Usually some A.net stuff though.
I remember touring this beauty, even though I never flew in it, when it came to MIA. As a "lanfan" no more, I can tell you this airline is only a shadow of its former self. What was once an airline of class, customer service, and absolute professionalism has transformed itself into another banana boat. From my time working at <acronym title="Miami - International (MIA / KMIA), USA -...Jump to post
I took an AA 727-200 from La Romana (Dominican Republic) to Miami. I was on a vacation with 25 friends and the flight attendants screamed at us for doing the "RollerCoaster" and throwing around feminine products from the lavs. Im usually a well beha...Jump to post
The 757 did have the new interior with "More Room" in coach, but the seats were the same. The only thing I was not impressed with was the First Class seats. Although the recline nicely, they have no footrest, PTV, or any other commodity of that type. The tray tables are really nice, since you dont ha...Jump to post
Sunday July 23rd I was scheduled to fly EWR-MIA with American. I was flying on a Standby Pass that cost me $25 per leg. I arrived at EWR for the earliest 6:42 am flight and found it to a 757. I just got FS2000 Professional Ed. and it is amazing. The GPS and navigation systems are impressive. It is extremely realistic, and the procedures are clearly outlined. Finally one can go through a thorough engine start-up/shutdown, or simply just click on. It is finally possible to do deadstick lan...Jump to post

I flew Mexicana on a DC-10-(10?) in 1986(7?) on the MIA-Cancun. I flew in Aztec Gold Class. This of course was the hay-day of Mexicana. I believe they are jointly owned, but Mexicana is a higher class airline with more routes, better service, A/C; while Aero Mexico is a lower class "cattle class" ai...Jump to post
Well, I literally live next door. My home is about one half mile of 9R/L approach, and my office is practically ar the threshhold of 9L. All the heavies from AA, Lufthansa, and BA among others can be seen every afternoon. I wonder how Political Corruption will play a role in this. A lot of major MIA...Jump to post

I think the Pope uses Alitalita a majority of the time. He used an Alitalia MD11 to travel to Cuba. I remember when he went to Chile he flew in Lanchile. I think he uses the country's flag carrier when available (In the US case, I dont know) if not he flies ALITALIA.
I was coming down to MIA from JFK on a LanChile 767-300ER back when they connected throuh MIA. We hit two airpockets. Once over Nantucket, and the other time around JAX.
