Today I was eating lunch in Conc.A Miami Subs @MIA, and I was an Aeropostal A320 with REG# N340ML.

Does this mean that the airplane is Registered in the USA? Or that Venezuela also uses the "N" Prefix?

Well MIA takes the cake for 727's! American bases its carribbean ops with 727's at MIA, quite a few of them. Delta usually has a 727 at the gate, Continental use to have 727's to IAH (;-( used to fly those alot!! Some Cargo Op's PanAM use to have loads United sends a few over, same with North West.

I flew a LanChile 767-300 MIA-JFK, there were about 20 people on board. Lan doesnt fly the route anymore, they just go straight SCL-JFK :-( sucks for me because I used to be able to jumpseat that flight, FOR FREE!!

I saw what im pretty sure what was an AA 737-800. It had two engines on the wings, and it was to shor to be a 757. It had the distinctive 737 nose. Anyone know what routes the 738's fly from MIA?

-Is G-VMIA the 747-100 that was leased to Lan Chile the earlier part of this decade? I remember seeing it at MIA when my dad was the Station Manager there, he had one of the F/A's give me a walthrough of the Aircraft. I believe the plane was on wet-lease from Aer Lingus, anybody have more info?

I saw a pic of a LanPeru 737. It is identical C/S to the new Lan Chile scheme but where on LanChile it says "Chile" this one says "Peru", and easy and inexpensive paint job.

I think the Pope uses Alitalita a majority of the time. He used an Alitalia MD11 to travel to Cuba. I remember when he went to Chile he flew in Lanchile. I think he uses the country's flag carrier when available (In the US case, I dont know) if not he flies ALITALIA.
