The DAL cuts are shocking to me. Thought DAL has been flourishing post WA. JAX/OKC/SFO gone permanently. BOS/CHS/CLE/CRP/DTW/HRL/PDX/PHL/SEA/SNA gone seasonally. Yeah, definitely shocking. Everything you've read is that DAL is going swimmingly, especially with the push early this year to 195 depart...

Jump to postSo...another day, DAL-SAN/SJC still not in the schedule past Nov 4; can we change the thread title to "AS cuts DAL-SAN/SJC"?
Sad to see these go, particularly SAN-DAL which I used last year, even booked Premium Class.
It's a shame if there are destinations cut from DAL, I always consider AS when I am flying to the west coast. I haven't flown them since the switch to regional jets back in November, if the frequencies were there I would consider status matching from WN, especially if they were at least occasional m...
Jump to postHaving just seen this thread, I just looked a the schedules for Nov 6, and I see NO flights between DAL and SAN listed... I'm sorry but I'm seeing a lot of weird stuff from AS these days. Jump to postAs maybe many expected, these increases have been pulled out of the schedule before ever being flown. Instead one of the SFO frequencies will shift to SEA but the schedule will remain at 13 flights a day out of DAL as of Aug 27: 3x LAX 3x SEA 2x PDX 2x SFO 2x SJC 1x SAN (All E75 except for one PDX g...
Jump to postI have a question about gate usage at DAL. According to my figures, this summer AS will have 20 departures from Love Field; 2 gates means 10 daily departures per gate. In October, 7 of those departures (DCA and LGA) will end and result in AS having 13 daily departures from DAL. Does AS have to have...

You only have to check in twice and recheck bags if WN does not offer nonstop or connecting international service from their home airport.
The introductory fares seem more expensive than typical ULCC fares. Frontier for example has $49 and lower fares out of Wilmington, Spirit offers some seats as low as $30. Going to be hard to capture much business if their fares with all of the fees added in aren't much cheaper than legacy carriers.
