As mentioned, literally most SE Asia to Europe flights are red-eyes, leaving around midnight local time, arriving between 5 and 7am in Europe. 12hr flights, multiple time zones.
Europe - North America also exists, for example LH's MUC-MEX which is overnight.
Thanks for the TR - very good to hear you enjoyed your ride with us. Jump to postI tried re-posting this in the old thread but it's over a year old and archived, so here we go. I have been using the Canon 11-24mm L for two months or so now.
It comes at a premium price, but quality is ridiculously good, and there's almost no distortion.
Highly recommended!
Good day dear A.netters! I'm a very regular reader of your reports, but seeing as I mostly spend my time flying in the cockpit rather than in the fancy first or still pretty posh economy cabins of the airlines of this world, I usually don't do reports. Still, I figured maybe you'd like to read about...
Jump to postMost of the A340s are going to be phased-out starting next winter though, and will be replaced by new B777-300s. That's probably why the cabin isn't upgraded anymore.
Jump to postOnce again, just for the sake of your own protection. If you modify an airliner, such as with the camera, it renders it un-airworthy if the appliance is not certified. Don't do it, regardless of what the engineers say. It needs to be approved, especially in a commercial operation. The mounting part ...
Jump to postJan makes a very good point in the previous reply. Jump to postI'd definitely stay with the observation deck for the limited time you have. There's food and drinks available, shelter during rain (or sun), and departures of heavy aircraft on rwy 16 (the one passing by the obs deck at terminal B) will be plenty from mid-morning until around 2pm.
