With such a high AOA planned, MCAS was probably not enabled. And I wonder if the system ever had to disabled during testing because of runaway trim.

Both companies have done well in doing what they do best,; build airframes. From what I am reading, Boeing will take a lead in the development of the next generation of aircraft because of their investment in R&D.

The "Max" is the replacement for the NG. The reason it was developed.

The 747 will be around for a long time, as a freighter at least.

The 777 is the new "heavy" for Boeing. It, too, will be around for a long time.
