Re: Raleigh/Durham Aviation Thread - 2020

RDU's Facebook post this morning indicates Delta is expanding MIA nonstop service to year-round twice daily. I haven't seen a DL announcement about this, and the timing feels like a swipe at AA, probably in response to the 5x AA RDU-BOS frequency. (This is on top of DL's recent announcement that th...

I am flying RDU-DTW-IND tonight. I have to say I am disappointed that DTW lets people push a button to temporarily suspend the tunnel light show. They do it for very good reason. Re: flybe launch LHR-IOM

I'm really glad IOM will have LHR service again, but as a US-based traveler, these times stink. As it stands, you're almost guaranteed either 3 flights to reach the IOM from the US, or a 5+ hour layover in either MAN or DUB. Clearly US-IOM traffic isn't what this route is designed for, but having Sk...

Personal preferences aside, I wonder how long F9 will actually operate this route with this frequency. It doesn't matter what the registration is so long as it is registered. Airlines usually prefer to have fleet commonality (NxxxAA, etc.), but it doesn't matter. There's a small fee to change, but no reason to pay if you don't need to.
