Webcams are a great way to get an idea of visibility and lighting conditions before heading out. I'm not sure if this site has a good camera (it's night right now as I post this). They also have a very nice visibility map of the Hong Kong area. Hope this helps. <a href="http://www.weather.gov.hk/wxi...
Jump to postThe nose cone and area above the flight deck windows are overexposed. An adjustment of -10 points highlight reduction in Lightroom easily solves the problem without making the rest of the photo darker like the new edit.

You can't resize in steps using Lightroom, that would require way too many file changes (import/export) and degrade quality. Setting DPI should also not matter when viewing on a monitor, it is a print setting. I have mine set at 72 by default and only change it if I'm going to export a file to print...
Jump to postYour camera/lens combination will almost assuredly not yield the results posted above. Scott Afrin is most likely shooting with a full frame sensor (Canon 5D/6D/1Dx) paired with the 135mm f/2 lens. I'm not sure if he is actually shooting at f/2 but probably close to it for maximum shutter speed. Wit...

Jump to postEsa above has good points. I think I usually add around 10-15 points of clarity in ACR depending on the photo. I never use Auto anything either. Jump to postPhotoshop agrees with Vik. On a Threshold layer, the brightest exposure values show up around the flight deck windows, at a value of 250 or so.
