Re: Alaska Air Group (ALK) reports Q1 2020 financial results

Merger ahead for AS? Doubtful. I think the last thing on any airline execs mind at this very moment is a merger. Especially since everyone is shrinking their size. Alaska is well positioned to come out of this, and return strong. Why does everyone seem to think that growth is only possible through ...

Wenatchee, Washington still doesn't have the SFO Flights. It's just too small of a Market. I've always wondered why there isn't more of a market from EAT. With the Ellensburg, Cle Elum, Moses Lake and other smaller surrounding communities all being solid options for flights out of EAT, plus the tou...

Re: Will Indian airlines continue flying to Canada?

I'm not sure why people hate on AI so much. I've flown them a few times DEL-BKK-DEL, and also between DEL-AMD on a couple of occasions. Nothing special about them, but I wouldn't say it was any worse than any US based carrier. I've been in both Y and J classes.

Usually anniversaries of this type are not very notable, but it seems like a opportunity to reflect on how incredibly safe United States air transportation has become. In these past ten years- the number of passenger fatalities among US scheduled major air carriers is- 1. (Southwest 1380 in April 2...

IIRC, 9000 series flights are charters or special sections.

I was on an AS 9000 series flight years ago when a mechanical issue forced the delay for over 24 hours. They flew in a different airplane to get pax home sooner, and the original equipment still had to be flown out.

There was an idea on the forum a while back about AS setting DAL up to be an E175 hub of sorts to dive deeper into the Midwest. I have a good chunk of friends and family in the Midwest that enjoy AS service to SEA & PDX. DAL could be a huge tool for eastward expansion in the next decade. Ok, an...

Read the article again, and you'll see all of the details for this story are coming from the passengers perspective not DL/OO's perspective. Shocker, but the passenger told one version of events, and the FA has another, and the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle. Not to say the pax wasn't w...
