I was walking to the park with my kids last night, and saw it fly right in front of me. Really super low, especially that far into the city.

Then saw it sitting on the tarmac while I was on lunch break today.

Don't see these birds in town here much if at all anymore. Cool to see.

Here at work they supply ear plugs.
I don't care for them at all, so I got a pair of earmuff type.
I only thing is if you are working outsite it won't fit under a toque, but for me that is a big deal.

I have never flown on an ERJ, but a handful of years ago (5 or 6 now) I was flying into Hamilton with WestJet and I felt the same feeling as you are discribing.
It felt like the tail whipped out 3 times as we were within feet of the run way.
