The fact they don’t quote the actual bill language tells me this is less clear cut. I’m guessing it doesn’t say “United pays more”. If it says “airlines with hubs of more than 200 departures” then it de facto says United. Otoh, if it says “airlines flying aircraft of more than xxx lbs” and United is...

I was told many years ago by a member of the executive suite at JetBlue that TPA was their worst performing Florida city. Has there ever been a discussion on growth at PHF in VA and all the empty gates they have and never really use? In the name it is a international airport and I do not see any international flights? For any other US airline to open a route targeting the same segment as AA would be pointless; there are many more fruit to be picked, primarily unserved or underserved secondary cities. Easily doable on the A321neo. I believe they have a few in their fleet. Their longest current route on any A321 variant is KEF-TLV at 3,283 sm and I think they are ending that route. MCO is 3534.
