So what would cause WN to not show viable flight options on its website? I'm looking at MSY-DEN. There's nothing that really fit my schedule/price range. I try my corporate discounts booking engine just for the heck of it. There's a MSY-MDW-DEN that appears there that doesn't show on WN's site with...

I flew ORD-CLT and CLT-ORD a lot as a poor college student in the mid-00s. UA and US sold connections in probably 25 cities in the Midwest and southeast. They were sometimes, but not always, cheaper. I did get a 146 and 734 on ORD-RDU-CLT once and then had the only bag at baggage claim in CLT.

Jump to postI've probably flown ORD-CLT or CLT-ORD 50 times and I've also flown a wide variety of WN flights that are arguably hub-to-hub. It's not as much different as you'd think. I wouldn't even say that there are necessarily noticeably fewer people hanging around baggage claim.
Jump to postYet it was the agreement they signed and are obligated to comply with. DAL was to shuttered with DFW opening because the airlines that were forced to move from DAL to DFW worried that some type of operation like SWA would do exactly what they did. Jump to postNot allowing Southwest to expand at DAL is the most anticompetitive thing ever. It’s unfair, and ends up affecting consumers more than anything. Jump to postFrom interviews with the passengers on Israeli TV the event occurred seconds before touchdown and there were no two separate events, turbulence and windshear- looks like windshear as a sole event. Yup, the FlightAware track has them down to 300 before aborting, so it's safe to assume it was shear/m...
Jump to postEvacuation flights are being attempted out of CAP, however it has been a tough go so far. Jump to postSeems unlikely they would have stopped at IOB and not taken fuel. They appear to have used ERI for their customs stop, and fuel at IOB is $1.50 cheaper than at ERI. No reason to stop at IOB unless it was for fuel planning. A Turbo Lance, flown reasonably, could have actually made it to Tune from Br...
Jump to postAnyone know the weather conditions at the time? Good visibility, moderate south winds. They've gone along with the big TRIP program at DFW and haven't been shy about throwing money into LAX (which may or may not offer a good ROI). Partly this is about AA's management team not being competent enough to figure out how to drive RASM higher, so they try to squeeze out every cent they can...
