Re: Australian Aviation Thread - September 2017

0-2ish hours = QF offers full breakfast/lunch/dinner even on 1h hop between SYD-CBR (so long as the flight is operated by 717 or 737). Not to mention the golden triangle routes SYD-MEL-BNE-SYD. If it's not meal time, admittedly I haven't been onto a shoulder period flight for quite a while but last...

I'm flying QF to CHC next week on a morning flight, what sort of food service will i be getting? To configure a few A332s to pure international with proper crew rest will require a decent investment of capital and would have been announced in the financial results last week. It would be great if Qatar did something creative like Doha-Bali-Canberra and return IF they don't want to do it nonstop, and give Canberrans another nonstop international destination plus another possible 'dot on the map' for Qatar, and another first for an ME3 airline (Bali, that is). Then again, I much prefer the PTVs on the 330s, compared to the dinky and very very frustrating wifi-reliant ipads that QF has introduced on their 330s. My reply was to a previous poster, who was saying that there is no reason for seats to be blocked. Seats are blocked in the Economy cabin - I should have been more clear about that.

Re: QF Premium Economy

Seats are, in fact, blocked due to weight restrictions on DFW-SYD.

You may secure a whole row to yourself at check-in at DFW for a fee, which I believe to be $250. It is only available on DFW-SYD.
