Oh so no HF rather than no transponder. Interesting. Does this mean that the domestic birds can't ever sub for an international service if need be? I guess the lack of overwater provisions affects this as well. HF is one thing amongst a few. But so less equipment on the Domestic birds for the cabin...

Oh yeah good point. Though I’d guess no HF radio for the domestic config. Therefore relaying through 148? Hopefully neither one needs to turn around haha. The Muscat to Kuala Lumpur leg stayed quite far north towards Myanmar and I guess they were still in VHF range across the Timor straight at FL39...

ZKNCJ. The $21.50 figure is base pay (Some one has kindly worked it out). The allowances are on top of that which are untaxed as well. I would expect so. Can't uplift fuel in WRE and tankering return fuel WLG is load restrictive. What’s the issue uplifting fuel at WRE? Ironic given it’s the home to Marsden Point. There are two main international cabin crew groups all consisting of different contracts - mainline (330/744) and QCCC (380/789). I assume the cut will be across the board of both divisions. Wouldn't Jetconnect be a group to consider? Non Ozzie crew... Why Jetconnect when its a lower cost mainline ...

I have noticed the NZ 777-300 fleet has been busy lately with cargo and evac flying this may help save pilot jobs down the line. However the 777-200 fleet is the opposite at the moment. I doubt it will save many jobs as there is already an allocation of cree for the 777 as part of the 'restructure'...
