Interesting new development, indeed. Personally speaking, I flew on a DL 717, from BOS to LGA sometime last year. I thought my flight experience was rather little boring. Perhaps, flying on near future DL 717s with IFE should be an improvement for all. I suppose IFE on DL 717s will take over flight ...

Yes, I flew on Spirit CMH-LAS-CMH last year. I felt like I was sitting on a bench watching a baseball game that went extra 2 or 3 innings. I accepted the ticket anyway.

Yes - with a fee

I frequently traveled as UM (age 5 in 1980 to 13 in 1988) No UM fee

I think 5-15 is the standard UM age today

UM release form (similar to paper ticket size) was probably used by airlines in 1977 Names of responsible individuals and their relation to UM are recorded on form Signature by responsible individual on form at departure gate and arrival gate required, flight attendant signature on form also required

Interesting Denver aviation fact: Southwest began service at Denver Stapleton in mid-1980s then withdrew (unsure how long Southwest stayed there)
