Re: PIA A320 (flight PK8303) crashes in Karachi

I'm just an aviation amateur, but I'd have at least expected some scorch marks on the tail, if not at the initial impact but then at least when they'd pulled the plane up again. Not all belly landings are the same. Imagine this hypothetical scenario: The first landing, they had the gear extended bu...

This is not what we see in the aviation industry. A300, A380, 727, 757 all were built till the orders stopped coming in. MAX got 4,500 orders. Customers were happy to order a NG with a better engine. They didn't see it as obsolete. Well, yes but as in the case of 727 & 757 etc the manufacturer ...

I do think the military would absolutely demand redundancy from them. It's sort of a big deal on the military side of things. Only that 2 AoA sensors is barely adequate redundancy for civil aviation, it's not truly a fail safe setup. You practically need 3 sensors to ascertain which one is faulty. ...

Congrats to BA and Boeing. This is a great order. And yes this is not really bad news for the A350, Airbus never really had a true replacement to the high J B744s (if only it was possible to launch the A350-1100 earlier). The recent Boeing order from QR got me thinking of the prospects of EK also choosing the B787 over A350, which is quite a close call between the two.
