Re: South African Airways to enter bankruptcy protection

With regards to the new A/C, the A359s and the younger A330s SAA has had for a few years, I'm curious to know how a company that has publicly been in such a precarious financial position is still able to upgrade its fleet? Presuming the lease terms are strongly protective of the lessor that it can r...

Re: Rumour: Singapore Airlines looking at another US ULR route - ORD, BOS or IAD?

Re: Air France Paris to Kinshasa to Brazzaville to Paris

While not 60 miles, these triangle routes in Africa are very common for European airlines, considering, like poeple said, one city may not be enough to justify the use of a widebody which could make more money elsewhere, but combine two of those cities and you get what you were seeking. Re: Boston Aviation Thread - 2019

Sorry if this has been discussed before, I haven't seen it, but given the increasing capacity constraints at Terminal E, has there ever been any contemplation at Massport or from the airlines of adding CBP facilities at other terminals? I'm thinking especially of A (could receive Delta's increasing...

Re: SAS considering A321LR or 737MAX for US-Europe

There is an interesting gap in product offerings between the increasing number of Norwegian all-ultra-economy 737 routes, which offer no premium product, and the nice, and well-priced, premium product they sell on their 787 routes, vs. the C & Y pricing on SK. BOS-CPH, which SAS and Norwegian co...

Re: PVD losing DE to FRA?

Did EW pull out of BOS due to low loads or lack of pilots/planes? I was under the impression they were doing pretty well on BOS-CGN. Loads were terrible considering it was the summer peak, I heard some days in the 40's (%) and fares were in the $500-600 r/t range. They dropped September with less t...
