Great domestic trip report - thanks! Only thing to consider is to downsize those pictures. Those I sampled were 4032x3024 pixels, or 1.8MB. They will not all load in my browser at the same time, neither on the handheld or desktop. Just consider scaling them down to 800x600 or at least 1024x768 next ...

Agree that this is a step back for AC. The narrower cabin width of the 737 won't really matter much in Business Class - but in Coach, that's an inch less from an already narrow seat. DTW is a great gateway for DL. Glad you had a chance to do the 747 out of there. Although not a memorable replacement for the 747, the A350 début will occur from DTW, including Delta's new premium economy product - so that should keep things exciting at Détroit.

I think you were perhaps a little over-preoccupied with some minutiae that weren't really essential to the overall story, but I did nonetheless enjoy you trip report... LH is by far the leader amongst the EU3, and I choose them whenever I can over other alternatives.... Thanks for sharing!

No. The Satellite Terminal is being demolished. Eagle flights will move to T5, probably around late 2019. So how would they replace almost a dozen gates that way? AA is taking over the entireity of T5 and merging it with T4. A new 12 gate mid-field terminal is being built and will open in 2019. Ok,...
