Do all suppliers still make NG parts? The military NG is not a standard NG. I would say it would take Boeing 2 years to get the NG going again. Not worth it… just my $0.02 As SXDFC has illustrated, they are pretty much standard, and then customized to the buyer specs. I’m sure Boeing could pump out...

You better have a good deal with a leasing company or 2 in order to get planes. It isn't like you can ask Airbus to make you a couple of extra planes and have them ready in less than 2 years. IMHO, I can't see the SWA load factor increasing as they are only taking delivery of 175 seat airplanes and retiring 143 seat aircraft.

I have been on only 2.... KNOCK ON WOOD... both were America West 747's... LAS-PHX diverted back to LAS and a HNL-PHX that diverted to LAS. Both were due to weather..

So, if the aircraft can lift off weighing 8,000 pounds more, wouldn't the fuel burn increase? Thus, decreasing range by a smidge? How much faster can the gear come up? Saving would be about 10-15 seconds worth of fuel burn on the gear drag? Just wondering....

Avelo looks like they are just throwing darts at a map ,,, trying to create traffic can work, but how long can they wait for routes to become profitable. If you have routes that are barely travelled now, will nonstops bring in the critical mass needed?? Good luck to Avelo.

I am sometimes wondering about the A330 utilization.. Plane only getting 2 legs a day mostly for their mainland usage. Those A330's are sitting for about 10-12 hours a day.
