I think everyone should take a few things into consideration: 1. JetBlue’s management team is extremely conservative and their focus over the past two years has been conserving capital and reducing costs. 2. Why spend billions on a merger with HA when they could keep the current codeshare agreement ...Jump to post
I’m flying BUR-SFO on WN this morning, manifest is 6 pax. Walked through the terminal for observation Saw B6 BUR-BOS and counted about 10 pax. AA BUR-DFW looked about 30, BUR-MDW about 15. BUR-DEN about 20. This is crazy. I don;t know why US airlines are continuing these domestic flights, consolida...Jump to post
United has canceled UA19 EWR-MXP today and zeroed out availability over the next few days.Jump to post
It appears Accra and Lagos have been canceled with little notice and MXP-JFK is canceled tomorrow. Also, there is word that the shareholder meeting has been moved from Feb. 18 to tomorrow (Feb. 11). It would be a shame to see Air Italy close, but not a surprise.Jump to post
New bilateral Interline deal signed between JetBlue and Interjet. https://newsroom.aviator.aero/interjet-airlines-announces-bilateral-interline-agreement-with-jetblue-airways/ Could this imply that Interjet will eventually move to T5? I doubt it, this is simply an interline agreement.Jump to post
JFK-PWM has been reduced to 2x daily for summer of 2020, with some days showing only 1x to Portland Seems to me that B6's days at PWM may be numbered. For comparison, that route used to run 4-5x daily year round. Agreed. With Cape Air operating PWM-BOS year round, I can see B6 dropping PWM in favor...Jump to post

JetBlue will be closing Mexico City early next year. Currently, JetBlue operates 4 flights per day to BOS,JFK,FLL and MCO. In JFK,FLL and MCO I believe B6 international gates all have capabilities of parking a 787. I wonder is this was also done to free up gate space for Norwegian to relocate to jo...Jump to post
Wow this is quite shocking... But they still fly to Cuba? B6 management is just golden isnt it? The FLL/MCO-Cuba flights may be doing well enough, that being said not sure why they insist on keeping BOS/JFK-HAV. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The entire Cuban network is losing money but JetBlue...Jump to post
Very high fleet utilization, short turn times, lean crew staffing and not allowing Tech Ops to have enough time to clear maintenance issues leads to the poor performance. Simply put, B6 chooses to perform badly because their operation looks good on paper (high utilization, lean staffing, etc).Jump to post
Both the pilots and flight attendants followed company procedures regarding a suspected fume event: 1. Contacting maintenance 2. Contacting and being evaluated by medical professionals 3. Filing a report and meeting with company representatives following the flight At the end of the day, we don’t kn...Jump to post
N292UX wrote:If B6 does decided to go TATL this year, would they even have slots to fly to LHR? Or would they probably have to settle with LGW for the time being?
So after other airlines were banished to LGW and waited 10s of years and spent millions of dollars to get LHR slots.......B6 should get slots in the name of "competition?" When they are a crappy competitor (see DOT on time stats) to begin with? Hey, as long as we are going down this route...Jump to post

ABM is Delta and JetBlue’s catering business partner in Boston.
Yup and the switch over this summer was a total disaster. About 6ish years ago jetblue stopped doing its own catering. Big mistake.
Does B6 also use ABM for their MINT service?
Its not possible that DL has brought catering in-house at Logan, is it? I noticed back in December that the catering trucks all said Delta on them rather than Gate Gourmet. I paid attention today while our flight was being catered (it was easy as it was during boarding and I was in row 1). The truc...Jump to post
JetBlue leadership has been talking about Europe for years with very little commitment. Many inside the company believe it will never happen, or will happen 5+ years from now. Remember that JetBlue does not currently have the A321LR on order, ETOPS certification or a agreement with Flight attendants...Jump to post

Article from "La Stampa" published today and translated with Google. The Alitalia negotiation is hanging by a thread. It continues to the bitter end, almost without interruption. Now it's up to the government to try to mend fences to prevent the worst. When there are just over 24 hours to...Jump to post
I can speak for my airline: using plastic during boarding allows the Inflight Crewmembers to deliver and clear service wear faster. Plastic cups are stackable and recyclable allowing Customers to have more time to finish their drinks. Otherwise, we would have to collect glasswear earlier. Also, you ...Jump to post
