Very high fleet utilization, short turn times, lean crew staffing and not allowing Tech Ops to have enough time to clear maintenance issues leads to the poor performance. Simply put, B6 chooses to perform badly because their operation looks good on paper (high utilization, lean staffing, etc).

For selfish reasons, I hope PHL-BLQ does well. Anecdotally, fares seem to be higher than PHL-DBV but we all know fares and load factor only tell part of the story.

Load factors are usually in the range of 55% - 65%. JFK is slightly better. Today BOS-MEX had a load factor of 72%, MEX-BOS 42% .

Every Focus City is scheduled to have a Network Strategy call in March. I hope management would have enough sense not to use these calls to announce job cuts on a conference call.

JetBlue leadership has been talking about Europe for years with very little commitment. Many inside the company believe it will never happen, or will happen 5+ years from now. Remember that JetBlue does not currently have the A321LR on order, ETOPS certification or a agreement with Flight attendants...

According to the FAA (http://www.fly.faa.gov/ois/jsp/summary_sys.jsp) flights are "ground stopped" which is an industry term meaning all departing flights are being held at their departure city.

It was actually down about 10% in early trading. Then Dave unveiled the Customer Bill of Rights, went on TV and the stock rebounded by 5% in comparison to early trading.

Although jetblue.com does not specify A/C, the flt number will tell you what A/C is operating. 3 digit flights are A320s, 4 digit flights are E190s.
