I’ll admit, I’m a bit ignorant on the scope clause issue, however why hasn’t AA or another carrier offered a deal like you let us fly the E175-E2 which is above the limit as long as the exemption is made watertight so no other planes could get through the same hole and in return we give the pilots ...

When anything automated goes afoul, just fly the aircraft, and figure out the automation issue when it's safe to do so. Basic airmanship. "Chidren of the Magenta" comes to mind.

Hummm,........there's no live fire in the Mount Dora MOA/ATCAA. The ZAB freq West of Des Moines above FL260 is 133.05, or 128.225 if the Ultra-Hi is open. FL260 and below is 127.85, but due to sector shapes it's not likely that would be combined up. Just sayin.......

USAF DOES have controllers that have been Center trained and certified. They go on a 4 year detail to centers. Obviously not enough of them to fill in, but those who have the training could quickly recert at the center they worked in.
