Re: Avelo Airlines News and Discussion Thread

Spoke to a friend who flew BUR-ACV on Avelo last weekend and she said the plane was packed in both directions. So, it seems like at least some people are hearing about them. I flew ACV-BUR yesterday. The flight was maybe 60% full. I’ll check back in here on Wednesday when I return to ACV. I want th...

Re: AA LAX T4/T5 Renovation

Do AA international arriving pax (except YVR) use the T4 or T5 international artival facilities, or do they all clear U.S. immigration and customs at TBIT? That's an interesting question. I didn't even know T4 and T5 had such facilities. I always assumed they arrived at TBIT. I thought at one time ...

Re: Avelo Airlines News and Discussion Thread

It looks like AS will provide direct competition to Avelo's BUR-STS service. Judging from the fares out of STS I've seen. I'm pretty sure the yields are pretty good*. As such, I could see AS wanting to protect their "turf" and not let an ULCC get a foot or even a toe hold there. Some peop...

Re: Avelo Airlines News and Discussion Thread

OAK/SFO is a haul of a drive from Eureka area...I would imagine STS would be an option. But hopefully people surrounding ACV will fly Avelo while it's available. Yes it is. However the fares at STS are pretty hight too and not enough of a savings not to just pay the ACV fares. The savings at SFO an...

Well I just booked an ACV-BUR-ACV trip with the $19 fare. With all the extras the total came to $68 r/t. I've spoken to some other people up here. A few (like me) are buying tickets for the "hell of it". Like me, they're going down to see friends and relatives and the fares are worth it. ...
