By the way, K2 is Transavia, not KLM.
Is the A340-200 YV1004 going to IRANAIR ? No, at THR just for maintenance, going back to Venezuela to enter service on september. I'm somewhat surprised that they chose THR instead of MNL for this mx. I know that VS sends their A340s to MNL, so from a cost stand point MNL must be competitive. Of co...Jump to post

Very true Bongodog....
Forgot SRB channels his pound notes via tax havens
Why should HAL give a foreign airline so much.?
VS is 80% owned outside the U.K.
VS are not the VS everybody grew up with.
SRB no longer the visionary aviator, the Robin Hood of the London market....
Now just a mouthpiece muppet for other investors (DL/AF/KL) jumped on and bought his gravy train.
All HOT AIR from VS.... they had the opportunity with chance to purchase BD......
Also, pretty sure VS still lease out some slots....?
Anyhow , DL call the shots now, not windbag SRB

Just a quick question... Would winglets to these aircraft get bolted on as such by Boeing before delivery or is it entirely down to the operator to fit them? Just seems bizarre in today's climate, a newly built 767 wouldn't have winglets fitted. Think B767 winglets are an after market product., The...Jump to post
Don’t forget the cabin maybe empty but the cargo is full. That is where the money is. They import everything from around the world. I was at JFK one evening and I could not believe the amount of cargo being place on a EK A380. Can I just say... A380’s are not known for there cargo carrying ability’...Jump to post
I assure you Etihad are not flying empty planes around. Probably this flight was cancelled and everyone but 20 rebooked, or it’s a positioning flight for the plane or something. I was on an Air France A380 SIN CDG with about 20 people a few years ago, it doesn’t mean Air France have low load factor...Jump to post

Flybe only operate the E-175 and E-195, they do not have any E-190’s.
Swap with FlyBE.....?? Believe BE want arid if it’s Ejets, and more Q400’s. Looks like a win win scenario...? Except that BE (a) only operates the E-175 & E-195, while the article explictly states E-190 and (b) only has fleets of 11 and 7 E-175 and E-195, respectively, which doesn't quite add u...Jump to post

Think one of the problems was the flight times....
Everyone had to night stop in BLL,
Also, BOH is not the easiest airport to get to.
Shame the flight never went ahead.
But at least it’ll be around in Europe for a few more years.....
I can say, is that now hey have the boxes,
Boeing/NTSB/FAA..or whoever is in the know, had better release some information a bit sharpish, ... or if they have any info, is there a reason they’re not releasing it...?

Re : SunAir in the LCY-ARN route...
I too wondered about that.Sure it would make £££.
SunAir are a quality operation, but I suspect the BA grown ups wouldn’t like that.
LCY-BLL , slightly different as was started long before BA jumped on the bandwagon with direct LHR flights.
While viewing the article at anna.aero , I noticed that HEL and ARN are connected to London City Airport on the map showing the route opportunities that Airbus A220 offers. Could this mean that these two Nordic airports are under LCY's radar regarding the route planning? BA CityFlyer does not have ...Jump to post
