There used to be daylights eastbound across the pond, ORD-BOS-JFK all into LHR.
If you can do one of those, they’re fantastic for avoiding the jet lag .

Assume BA462 to MAD, all others are IB metal.
And if you can do the numbers, probably the 1st or 2nd out to FRA.
And if you want a W/B jolly, take the 1030 ish IB flight out to MAD, usually A330/350 the return on the BA 463, which hopefully will be the A380.
No promises… keep looking.

Also consider that the ATT72 which many consider superior, first flew 6 years prior to the J61.
In reality, BAe systems were just playing catch up with an inferior product.

However, ask any avgeek, they’ll all say flying on an ATP is more fun than flying on an ATR.

Airframe is a 1987 build machine.
It sat stored for a couple of years as Ansett decided not to take up their order.

Great TR BTW.
Always found the F50 nice , but an absolute pain in the arse to see out the windows, as they’re so low in the cabin .

1, stay in Uni 2, get a manual licence. FWIW, there are so many different types of vehicles on the ramp, mostly auto, but still many with manual boxes . As a poster up thread mentioned, it’s a different skill set to get a manual licence , and in theory easier to get an auto. It’s all about the left ...

LHRDXB is nearly always full.
UAE is as good as open for UK citizens now.
BA even going back 3 times a day for winter schedule .
