We were dropping my 14yo to SYD last night and commented that the engines looked really large on the 767-300f we passed.

He hadn’t realised it was actually a Kalitta 772F rather than the Tasman 763F.

There are now only two 767s regularly operating to SYD - Tasman and Qantas’s 763Fs

I used to be a nervous flyer, regularly convincing myself that we we slowly descending to an untimely end.

Flying with my kids helped me overcome this, by giving me a different focus during flight and learning more about flight controls and stages.

The pigments for red and yellow are heavily impacted by UV light. Purple is red+blue, so is impacted too.

So the worst impacted are red and yellow in high UV locations. QF tails and the various DHL planes (Tasman air the main one) don't do well in Australian light.
