G-ZBLA has just departed LHR operating her first revenue service (freighter) to DFW as BA193.

I really like the new livery. Looking forward to seeing it on the 777 and 787! Let’s just hope they paint the engines on the 787.Jump to post
I've not seen details of the German ban, but the UK one quite specifically refers to passenger-carrying flights only. No UK-or Ireland based MAXs are away from a company base (Ireland has a ban too, and Norwegian uses them from DUB), and no MAX's are home-base in Germany at present. G-TUMF is curre...Jump to post
Just google... “can dust particles from nuts cause an allergic reaction?” Then get back to me! I don’t need to back it up it’s a medical fact! Hence why a lot of airlines nowadays do not serve nuts onboard. Clearly you really didn’t bother to do ANY research on the matter No need to get personal. A...Jump to post
Yes you can have a reaction to the dust participles, it is exacerbated on an aircraft because the air is recirculated, if it wasn’t an issue airlines like Southwest and many other airlines around the world (southwest are the ones that publicized it the most) have stopped service nuts onboard for th...Jump to post
From my, albeit, limited research, is it even possible to have an allergic reaction without ingesting the nuts? I’ve seen lots of comments on twitter etc stating that she could have had an allergic reaction from airborne peanut ‘dust’, but I don’t believe this is even possible? The same with just t...Jump to post

There is a 737-8 in orange on the front page. Please pay attention. Thank you.
No more news regarding this? Looks as if Vueling was scared now of the whole market just put on sale by LaudaMotion/Ryanair. Maybe they are just waiting for some announcement to be made, so that they can really beat the others. IAG has such a little presence on the leisure markets Canaries/Europe, ...Jump to post
Hi everyone, So with the sudden increase in Austrian registered airlines, I have a couple of questions. I understand why EasyJet Europe was set up - in response to Brexit allowing them to still operate flights from and between EU countries. However, why does Eurowings have Eurowings Europe (Austrian...Jump to post
Hi everyone, I'm thinking of going to Gatwick to do some spotting and have a couple of questions for others who know the area well. When spotting at the 08R end, I understand there is a field you can spot from (I've been there before) but just want to confirm how you are actually meant to get to it....Jump to post
The first A339 for WOW is now out of paint
If the ID has the middle name, so does the booking. Not controversial at all. Funny thing is that’s not a customs requirement it’s likely a silly policy of WOW. FYI, it's a silly policy of all EU airlines, and something the European Commision has been quite aggressive on halting this practice. It i...Jump to post
Here's my video of the QF10 departing LHR, I hope I am allowed to post it! Sorry for the shakiness.
I've just got back from Heathrow. I filmed QF10 depart and will upload to YouTube in the next couple of hours and post the link, assuming I'm allowed?
It was great seeing VH-ZND in person, great livery!
I was thinking of heading down to Heathrow tomorrow to film the departure, however looking at the winds it looks like there’s a good chance of departure from 09R, so not the best for filming. Anyone else heading to watch the departure? Also, taking into account the 1 hour time change, is it schedule...Jump to post
Thanks for the replies. I’d be most worried about being stuck in MAD and having to either pay for a hotel or a same day flight, both of which will be expensive! I’m thinking it may be worth booking a backup flight home just in case, I can get an easyJet flight back to Gatwick for departure at 21:50 ...Jump to post
Hi everyone, I’m thinking about taking the inaugural IB A350 flight on the 20th July MAD-LHR. It’s only a thought at the moment, nothing is set in stone. I wouldn’t be able to make it any more than a day trip due to work commitments. I’m also looking to make the trip as cheap as possible. I’ve found...Jump to post
On a semi-related note - I was on the DLR going past LCY last Tuesday evening, and I saw an E-jet (not sure if it was an E170 or E190 as I was too far away and it was dark) that was all-white with BA titles but no Chatham Dockyard tail, and I think also no blue. Any clue what it was? G-LCYY ex PP-P...Jump to post
Read up the thread. I posted a couple of times that the normal livery will be applied in KEF according to local sources, it just got lost in the noise. ;) The aircraft was officially delivered to Icelandair yesterday. Based on the banner hanging in the background, that is indeed the final livery. T...Jump to post
TF-ICE has been painted.
On 2 February Icelandair took over 6 hours to fly JFK-KEF with a B767 while Delta was 4 hours and 45 minutes with a 757. Is ETOPS really the explanation? Icelandair's 767s are ETOPS, no? Jet stream is not a reason given we're talking about flights operating on the same day. Using the flightradar24 ...Jump to post
I’ve seen on Twitter that D-AISP (A321) will be the first short haul aircraft to wear the new livery.Jump to post
I have to say, I’m thoroughly enjoying reading this thread. Of course it’s very sad, but interesting to see where they are ending up.

This is the image used by Boeing when UPS placed their order. So it looks like the logo will be on the nose.

Only operating on a Saturday is useless therefore what I described in my earlier post regarding connections to Southampton Airport by rail from Portsmouth is the normal way of getting there. I fully agree with you, it was more aimed at the comment about there being no possibility of a direct train ...Jump to post
Traveling on the Portsmouth to Southampton line would need a change at St Denys Station to change to a London bound (slow) train of Southampton Central Station for a fast train heading north to Southampton Airport (Parkway) Station. Sorry for probably sounding very stupid, I've never used a tripod for video before. This one seems to have very good reviews and isn't a bad price. MSN 60 (ex-SriLankan Airlines) emerged from paint. The real livery is hidden behind the grey coat. Hi Karel, Are you sure ? What is the cost of a coating applied over a finished C/S ? This actually happened to me as well but only it was on a B747 flying towards LHR. Either it was the poor workmanship that Boeing is so (in)famous for or the after-effect of the "special" cookies I had in my carry-on. I had just one cookie, so It must be something to do with Boeing. Expla...Jump to post
Thanks for both of the replies! I was hoping to get down to the Polderbaan, do you think I'll have any issues getting an Uber back? I don't want to get stuck there and miss my flight!! I don't have a particular model to recommend, but I would recommend getting one with a fluid head and adjustable drag on the panning mechanism. Smooth pans are hard to do unless you have a good tripod head with enough drag. Ideally you want to have to push on your panning arm hard enough so that yo...Jump to post
That particular picture is not from the FAL in Mobile. All of the aircraft jigs in Mobile are painted white. They were traveling to either Hamburg or Toulouse.
