In a perfect world the 787 would be perfect as the only widebody in their fleet but as we all know this is not a perfect world. And as mentioned earlier in this thread they are not in a position to go to that solution in the near term.

People connecting in DEN or IAH would rather connect to LGA if they're going to Manhattan and EWR if they're making a connection.

The Cessna 172 definitely has a distinctive smell that reminds me of an old auto repair shop.
On passenger aircraft it often smells like burned coffee (Like the pot would smell if all the liquid evaporated but the heat was still on).
We have plenty of people who would rather lose their job than take a pay cut to keep their jobs. I just don't see the point in this. If Delta wants 350's that bad I'm sure they could get them on their own without Qatar's help. Unless Qatar is paying Delta to take them, which doesn't make sense either. Qatar could just defer them.
Jump to postSeems strange considering Delta just payed LATAM millions to NOT take A350s.
Jump to postDelta is extremely weak in Australia, New Zealand, Tokyo and Hong Kong. You need to have presence and partners in those markets to be profitable in Los Angeles. This statement is so funny. While all four of those places have a high amount of O&D from Los Angeles, there is no reason they have to...

Worse case scenario I can see Airbus only producing A320 series and A350 series and Boeing only producing 737Max (yes, it will be back) and 787 plus military 737/767.

Seattle will be more loyal to AS if it becomes a fight to the end. No doubt of that. Seattle will be loyal to the airline that gets them to where they are going for the best price. Jump to postAs mentioned earlier Boeing owns the 717's. It could make sense to lease Delta 737 Max's at an attractive rate just to keep production going. Delta has always been an opportunistic purchaser/lessee so this is at least plausible. Maybe it could even be for some of the already built frames that will n...
Jump to postAirbus didn't spend that much to develop the A330neo, they can price it pretty low, and given the amortised production line the production cost isn't that high. The 777 being the largest aircraft isn't much of an advantage if few airlines want larger aircraft. But they can't price A330Neo as low as...
Jump to postI will make a prediction that Boeing will cancel the 777X. Very unlikely. It's already developed and in testing. Most likely they will let customer defer deliveries or switch to 787 and cut production down to the bare minimum (Worse case scenario 6 frames a year) until orders start to pick back up.
