Re: Delta & MCO ...what next?

MCO ranks high when it comes to ASM's for outstations and amount of daily flights. I see MCO playing a key role in DL's network to come since many JV partners are using the airport and relocating to Airside 4. Still waiting on AM to move over. AM is there. They usually park in the gates in the 90s....

Re: Icelandair leases two 767s for extra lift during 737MAX grounding

Omni Air in the US has ~10 B767s, including a few older -200s, that do passenger-carrying ACMI work, as well as three B777s. Many of their airplanes are spoken for with various US military passenger carrying flights, but they serve all types of clients from pop up work to sports charters. I suspect ...

Re: Icelandair will not return to CLE, blames MAX8

Icelandair is the rare carrier that might not be taking too much of a hit with the Max 8 groundings. Their schedule really slows down over the late fall / winter / early spring and I suspect they have the 757 capacity and additional staff to make up for any Max 8 issues, especially as they only have...

That will be a really interesting thing to watch, whenever the fall '19 / winter '20 schedule comes out, which it should within a few months. My $ is on ~ 2 B787s doing LGW flights. YYC will probably have its frequency trimmed from daily to 4-5 times per week. YVR may get 2-4 frequencies per week as...

Re: Toronto Aviation Thread - 2019

I doubt DL would add YYZ-LGA given WS has 8 737s a day on the route. If anything DL would add an LGA frequency to YUL and YOW and maybe open up a daily flight to YQB once their preclearance facility opens. Any of that would involve DL cutting something else at LGA. If the LFs on the 8x daily WS YYZ...

Re: Westjet to Austin TX and Portland OR from Calgary

YYC-PDX should do well in the summer. There is enough weirdness in PDX to make the flight work for WS. Maybe they can make it work year-round as it shouldn't be too hard to fill a Q400. YYC-AUS is an interesting one but it should work as well. Just interesting that WS is the first to the market in ...
