Re: British Airways turns 50 years old

Really interesting article- especially about what air fares were like back in 1974. I knew that it was much more expensive to fly back then, but it was even more expensive than I realized. I would hate to see BA go to a Eurowhite livery. So far it seems like there’s no changes expected to the curren...

This is so good to see. The Concorde I flew is now in Barbados and years ago we cruised down to see it and I sat in my seat once more. But I heard that the exhibit is now closed. The cuts in service training for flight attendants occurred when Hector Adler was VP of Flight Service, who was LUS. Re: American Airlines Network - 2024

From what I’ve heard from pilots, JFK-DEL is going to the 789 because the US government doesn’t want civilian aircraft flying over Afghanistan at altitudes lower than 32,000 feet. The 77W flies at lower altitudes with a full payload and doesn’t meet that requirement. We call the plane “the Grey Goos...

Originally GVA was served via ZRH from ORD, and when service was started to STR via ZRH from JFK, the routing became JFK-ORY-GVA and the flights from DFW, ORD and RDU could funnel any GVA-bound passengers onto the flight.
