BHM to CAE is an interesting add. At just over 5 hours it's a relatively easy drive if you avoid Atlanta at rush hour. Of course, UA is flying an ERJ on the route so there's not a lot of capacity on it.

I have always believed that there are four markets left unserved that could have potential. LAL is one of those, especially with the business traffic that the area is going to see. This is interesting, and interesting that these flights are going to ONX. It's still about 75 minutes by car from there to Corolla without traffic, and over 2 hours in the summer (until the Mid Currituck Bridge gets built).

I grew up in Little Rock and still remember seeing it fly overhead. It made a pass around the city, which allowed a lot more people to see it than if it had just gone straight into LIT.

ELP is the farthest west DL spoke not to have a connection to another DL hub, right? Certainly the largest market, too? As another poster noted, DL has been off and on the ELP-SLC route for years. That seems mostly true but doesn't apply to CRW. Only larger airport around 2 hours away is slightly larger LEX, they get cut too. CVG, CMH & PIT are all 3-3.5 hour drive away and CLT 4 hours. If permanent, this leaves UA with only 3x to ORD on a normal day from CRW as IAD was cut in Feb. Some ...

I actually flew from IND to MDW on WN connecting through DET. (It was a corporate ticket and the cheapest available way to fly between Indy and Chicago.) That was a weird experience. It was in the middle of the winter and snowing.

I was just reading another thread about schedule changes/updates and that G4 will be starting DEN-AVL three times a week. This is a long flight by G4's standards so I am curious as to what kind of demand there is between the two areas as I don't really see a connection between Denver and Asheville....
