I can't see B6 doing BUF-SFO. i took a look at PDEW numbers. It's a lot lower than BUF-LA area. If anyone does it, it would have to be UA. Don't forget induced demand by a non stop. Its still there. Bookable through Jan 6th, and JetBlue only goes to Jan 8th a Wednesday. In the winter its usually 4 or 5x a week.

DL already flies BOS-BUF. But in general yes I agree. Three carriers flying BOS-ROC would be overkill for a market that size. If DL adds it I imagine AA would promptly pull out. CF34-8 vs CF34-10?

The -10 was developed specifically for the 190, 195, and lineage and has a very different architecture. It's not unheard of for variants of engines to be significantly less reliable. In addition, the -8 being more widely adopted, the maintenance and parts may be cheaper.

AA updated their May schedule today. ROC loses mainline (again). A319 frequencies from ROC-CLT and ROC-PHL are gone. ROC-CLT goes back to 4x CRJ900 (not even the Embraers). According to this article Norwegian and Icelandair are now TSA Pre carriers. Interestingly the list of approved airports includes BDL.
