RE: Americans And Their Carry On Luggage!

I know people who have had their luggage lost so many times, they refuse to check any baggage. Maybe European airlines are more efficient at handling baggage than American airlines. But I have to admit, I've never had any checked baggage lost by any airline anywhere in the world.

I think it will be seating assignments. They announced last year that they were thinking about it.

RE: CBS Marketwatch Reports CO Cancels 787

Why would CO cancel an order for 2009 because they had a terrible month in 2005? The deposits CO has placed on those planes aren't big enough to make much difference in their current financial...

RE: Next Order For The 787?

With relations between AA and Airbus as sour as they are right now, what are the odds that AA will buy any Airbus in the next ten years? They may not have a formal exclusivity agreement with Boeing,...

RE: A350 - First Pictures!

The looks of a plane do matter, even though they really shouldn't. For some airlines, operating a 747 has been more about pride than necessity. If Boeing is better at Airbus at one thing, it's PR. The 7E7 will get more attention because it looks more dr...

Continental ERJ-170s?

I know ExpressJet's website doesn't include the Embraer RJ-170 or any of its variants in their published fleet expansion plan, but has anyone out there heard if they have or are exploring the idea? They look so cool. I can't wait to fly on one, but I don't ...

RE: Bankrupt Airlines Replacing The 737 With The 3

NW has never declared bankruptcy? Their success must be linked to their DC-9s, which is why they hold onto them so dearly. If they get rid of the DC-9s, NW will liquidate and CO will be free!

RE: USAirways Possible Ch 7 Implications At DCA?

I doubt CO is interested at this point. They're suffering, even if they're doing better than other legacies. And they have no interest in US's new Airbus fleet. NW is a definite maybe. <acronym ...

I hope they don't. DFW is already on my list of airports to avoid connecting through whenever possible. I'd prefer a smaller airport like <acronym title="St. Louis - Lambert-St. Louis International (STL / KSTL),...

RE: EU Says It Would Slice Airbus Support If Boein

The main difference between the state subsidies that Boeing gets for locating facilities in certain communities and the subsidies Airbus gets from European governments is that Airbus can also get the state subsidies for building facilities in the US while Boeing can't get the subsidies from the Euro...

RE: What Should Boeing And The US Do?

Ok, I think the point A380900 is trying to make is that Boeing is at such a disadvantage because it does not receive subsidized loans from the US government to initiate major commercial aircraft projects that the company will have to give up competing in certain segments of the commercial aviation m...
