Re: Oil price and fleet decisions, past and future

If we look at past fleet purchase decisions, airlines have ordered hundreds of A380's in low density configurations at a time that oil was above 100$ a barrel, yet when oil was at record lows in the early 2010's, the latest generation of fuel efficient aircraft, from the A320neo and B737MAX to the ...

The worst opening act ever was when Toots and the Maytals opened up for The Who at the Pontiac Silverdome in 1975. Reggae was at its peak but they sucked and got booed off the stage. The two biggest "upstages" I saw were the previously mentioned SRV/MB tour and Muddy Waters opening up for ...

I think the issue is how much money they can get the locals to invest, Detroit may be cheaper but since they have no money, Amazon would have to spend all of theirs, why do that if you can get local money? Another thing, left seat vs. right seat doesn't always equate to more experience in-type. As an example, with Delta getting rid of their MDs, many relatively senior captains who stayed with the MD due to work schedule have enough seniority to be captains on A320s/B737s. Their FO can have many more h...

London is barely larger than NYC and NYC's metro area is much larger. I'm not talking about metro areas and I'm certain the OP isn't either. The NYC metro extends into 4 states. New Haven, CT is part of the NYC metro area, yet I doubt someone will travel 2 hours to visit the city for its skyscraper...

I'd say Delta in the OP's context because they fly their IFE-equipped aircraft to many more destinations than B6. He's looking to fly with children and using B6 really cuts down on where you can go.
