It's got a screw in breech plug. That there is very unusual. A bolt action is much stronger (and more expensive). Several people compared it to a "zip gun" made from a waterpipe. When you're shooting a 50BMG, you don't go cheap.

Get a Passport Card when you get your passport. It works for land crossings into Canada, etc, and is the same size as a DL or other standard ID card.

AA probably didn't know for awhile what they were going to do. It's not like you're at a domestic hub or even an outstation an hour away with frequent flights. Finding a qualified crew member might have taken a while.
