Re: Updated: SAS presenting new livery

I have to say, I'll miss the red engines, BUT, I might have to say that this is the best new livery in as long as I can remember. I really DON'T remember the last tie I preferred a new livery over the old. (I don;t mind AA's new or Frontier's, but neither are better than the old). This is classy and...

PHL last night -Frustrating

I'll try to make long story short. Landed in PHL last night (Thurs) 20 minutes early. We did fly around what looked like a storm cell just over the city. But it certainly didn't seem like a stormy night. As soon as we landed I saw dozens of planes all over the tarmac, so much so we couldn't get to o...

Re: Will 777s get winglets?

You think the current 772 wing looks old. I happen to love it. I much prefer the older, straighter, squarer lines of the 757s and 777s than today's skinny, pointed, raked wings, which aren't....manly-looking. It's why I haven't really taken to the 787. The skinny, wimpy wings. The lame sloped tail. ...

United EWR to SFO not always PS?

I notice that a flight from EWR to SFO today (departing 4:00, flight 1885) is utilizing a legacy Continental 757 (ship 3117). My understanding is all the PS 757s are legacy United 757s (Pratt & Whitneys). So I guess United will basically send a non-PS flight to SF or LA, depending on equipment a...

Flightaware doesn't indicate arrival gates at Changi airport (although it does for departures gates FROM Changi). I'd assume that a Singapore flight can arrive from, say EWR, park at a gate and then fly back to EWR departing from the same gate as it arrived.

Gang, frequent reviews of flightaware.com at LAX suggests that they don't do the LAX loop anymore on departures.
