They addressed each of the 5 aspects of the law, and gave a valid, legitimate reason only one would apply to Delta (length of time limit for restructuring without challenges to plan of 18 Months) and why it matters not in the least to Delta as they have a restructuring plan 95% in place.

A tax cut that effects every airline equally will do nothing to save certain airlines. Who's to say that this savings would not be passed on to the consumer in the form of lower fares? Load factors cannot go much higher as it is.

I agree. As bad as it is for airlines no tax relief should be in order. Almost every fuel is taxed. Deal with it. The govenment is not paying it's bills now, so there is no room for further cuts in revenue.

Fuel has shot from $1.58 last Quarter to $1.90 so far this Quarter. Removal of this tax isn't going to make much of a difference I'm afraid. I wish they would turn their efforts more towards pension reform.

"The airline's Cincinnati schedule will be cut from 599 mainline and Connection departures to 442 after the Dec. 1 schedule change. Mainline will drop from 128 to 94, and Connection will fall from 471 to 348."

Sure a mistake was made but lets not lose context here. We are talking about 4 flights only Delta should have operated while other airlines did. Some airline is always going to be the first to pull out. Some other airline will always be the last to leave. What if the last airline kept their employee...

Being a Delta employee I wish they had continued to fly the next morning like all the other airlines.
