A recent interview with CEO of United said they were looking at used wide bodies... Maybe UA is taking a look as a cheap source of cheap widebody capacity If UA was taking a look why would the plane be at the AA hanger and not UA? E175E2 is too heavy for scope clause and the extra row vs. E175 pushes it over 76 seats. I wouldn't be surprised if part of the scope update that's being asked for allow E175-E2 at UAX. Someday those E175-E1s are going to need to be replaced and I doubt the company's going to want to do that with C...

Stew on this: it's possible to buy a Basic Economy fare and be assigned into an Economy Plus seat. You don't get to pick your seat or bring a bag but you end up in the extra legroom section. :rotfl:

UA is sold out on regular economy very often and to fly them you must buy up to at least E+. This is not true. If there are no regular economy seats available but still Economy Plus seats available, United will sell the regular economy seat and you'll be unassigned a regular economy seat at checkin...
