I wouldn't say klm 747 went unnoticed, last flight from Mex got good coverage and on many out stations it got a water salute or there was some sort of farewell party.

WINTER 2021 Advanced Schedules: AMS-KUL-AMS will be double daily four days a week, but currently only one flight is for sale AMS-KUL-AMS each day. This may still need to be adjusted in the reservation system. - ...

Before covid KL served Kuala Lumpur with a tag on to Jakarta: AMS-KUL-CGK-KUL-AMS. I wonder how Jakarta will be served after covid, if KUL now continues to Phuket. Could become a tag on from Singapore, but that one used to be flying onwards to DPS. Can't imagine they would not reinstate DPS after c...

Unrelated curiosity: I remember reading years ago that KLM, on flights to North America, used to have guns on board, just in case the aircraft had to emergency land in a remote zone populated by wild animals. This thought has been looming over my head over the past several weeks. Even after the pandemic is fully in the rear view mirror (however many years that may be), I think I may still keep a stash of N-95's in my carry-on.
