Re: United Fleet/Network Thread - 2019

That order finishes off the remaining CR7s; wonder if UA will send the CR5 into ASE or if the airport operating procedures will change to allow larger-span jets... Its not just about the airport, it's also aircraft performance. The performance and the larger premium cabin probably make the CRJ-550 ...

Re: United Fleet/Network Thread - 2019

I sometimes wonder if United is going to completely shed their feeder network and just concentrate on their large hubs. UAL just placed an order for 20 E175s along with options for 19 more. They might not be growing the regional feeder much but definitely not shedding it. Those are the 70 seat ERJ-...

Re: SDF to change its name to Muhammad Ali International Airport

There will be some controversy with this move. Ali refused to serve his country, that will not sit well with veterans. Being a great boxer will not make up for that. On the other side of this, won't the Standiford family be upset by this? I don’t see that as a issue anymore, most of the folks you m...

N181AN and N182AN are also in the desert and have RR engines, and they're newer (1999 build) than N26123. Maybe AA would be willing to offload one for the right price? Good Question, IDK but historically UA hasn't been about acquiring second hand 757s. They got 3 ex-HA 763 recently, and even that w...

I think the A321XLR makes a ton of sense for UA to replace their 757s on Trans-Atlantic, Deep South America, Denver-Hawaii and Trans-cons.

Keep the 737-10 for domestic growth and or replace their oldest A320s which will hit 30 years of age in 2023.
