From the Q3 earnings call: Transatlantic demand has been holding at 2019 levels and, yesterday (Tuesday), was up 19% y/2y, says United Commercial Chief Andrew Nocella. He adds that transatlantic business travel demand now matches domestic business demand Also mentioned, United has one more "si...Jump to post
You need to think off this from an airline point of view. 1) UA has most if not all of these aircraft paid off 2) UA has no replacement out there that can be delivered in time 3) UA also has recently refitted them with new seats and some have new paint. It makes no senses for UA too retire these ai...Jump to post

I'm hoping to hear some plans from United soon regarding the new Terminal A at EWR they will be moving into this Spring. What routes, club etc..Jump to post
These are awesome! I wonder if UA will bring back some of the suspended EWR domestic routes to feed these? For example OMA-EWR was 3x daily and I used it several times a year to connect to EWR flights to Europe on paid business class (still suspended). We were interested in going to Dubrovnik last ...Jump to post
Some great adds, especially excited about Bergen. By the time the A321-XLRs arrive United should be primed to do some really impressive routes, surpassing their previous peaks when they were flying 752s all over Europe.Jump to post
United held a media event tonight in Manhattan. There’s a lid on the reporting until tomorrow’s reveal, sounds more than just restoring seasonal routes from last Summer.Jump to post

In case anyone is interested, the Port Authority is looking for members of the public to join a Newark airport advisory board.
I don't support all EAS routes, but some markets, subsidizing a percentage of a flight is cheaper than the rot that is created by destruction of isolated communities. I don't think ELM is an EAS city, but for example, if a city like that were to theoretically lose all service, community supporting ...Jump to post
This is the best reporting I've seen thus far on the entire project, the current status and what might come next..
There's an opportunity, whether it comes to fruition or not does not take away from the fact that the benefits of having a direct subway connection are worth the loss of the Airtrain. The $2.7 Billion the Port Authority was going to provide via PFC's can be a part of a larger package that includes M...Jump to post
The MAX 8 is probably for a touch up of some kind. I’m willing to bet that the 787-8 is a complete paint job. It hasn’t been repainted since it was delivered in 2014 or so. They try to repaint the aircrafts every seven years. Some of the 777s desperately need new paint, but they’re being run into t...Jump to post

I'm guessing LAX, they had flight #1 which was MEM-LAX-NRT-TPE. The MEM-LAX segment was a 757, with the remainder LAX-NRT-TPE a 747. I'm guessing at one point the plane actually operated as a true direct one stop MEM-NRT via LAX.
Knowing NK’s operations at ACY there were probably a bunch of senior citizens on that flight. Making evacuation complicated.Jump to post
I've been watching from the beginning, I know he's reality tv etc.. but it seems like Dog the Bounty Hunter actually got legit leads with regards to the Fort De Soto Park and the burner phone. How many flights can UA handle at EWR once the new terminal 1 is built? I'm just wondering because UA will have 12 gates in the new terminal and are likely to expand to 20 gates in 2023 according to a website I read. https://airlineweekly.com/2021/05/united-beats-jetblue-into-newark-airports-new-te...Jump to post
Oh I did not know DL were moving. If everybody from the existing Terminal A is moving at once I guess it won't be as confusing. That article also contradicts my understanding, which was that the gates in the new facility would all be common-use. Delta is moving to the new Terminal, their gates in t...Jump to post
Okay so going by the new Terminal yesterday they have already installed air bridges and they are numbered starting with gate # 1 which is the first gate on the right ( South) side of the terminal. So with 33+ gates the new terminal will have a gate 17. They could move the flag. If not I think some ...Jump to post

Not that Disney would seek such a partnership again, but if they were WN is the perfect candidate to be the "Official Airline of the Walt Disney World Resort". Just as Eastern and Delta were previously.Jump to post

I’m guessing it’s not going to be Express.
Speaking as someone who pumped gas throughout College, Shell station and Gulf stations, Shell is the best gas in my opinion. I usually buy Wawa gas because there are so many of them here in New Jersey, which is just distributed from an independent refinery. About a month ago I was coming back from H...Jump to post
You hit the nail on the head. A bigger load, further range and less complexity in the C-130. The ability to land that type of load, without a runway, adds a fantastic layer of complexity for our enemies in the East, or is it West? ANA was set to launch HND-SJC prior to COVID, hopefully when international travel bounces back they will go forward with the launch. How many gates does WN have at LGA? 6 gates at LGA. And now only 4 at ISP. Enjoy or Don’t Flyguy The NY market has spoken. I wonder if this is related, from the New York State Attorney General:
The flag is being displayed inside the airport administration building, historic Building One.
Two questions, if these went to NK would they add 16 new flights or just reschedule existing flights to these more desirable peak hours? If they do launch new routes where else does NK want to fly from EWR? They already have a pretty robust network: Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Mye...Jump to post
Just coming across the wires, I guess Spirit’s lawsuit over the retired WN slots was a success.
I think that's right. I haven't used EWR in some time, but arrivals on UA are often announced as "welcome to Newark Liberty" as I recall. Probably depends on the flight crew.
