Not a huge market from HNL to Europe. Hawaii is west coast centric and DFW mega-hub connections.

Europeans have the Med., Azores, and Indian Ocean that are much closer and cheaper. Plus, they don’t have to deal with the 1% of American A-hole, know-it-all, tourists.

OO has been active. They’ve used this to add flights at ORD and to follow AA at ORD for small / underserved markets.

DEC makes sense for them to ORD (still some corporate business).

They’ve been doing Cody and Iron Mountain as well.

While I love South Florida, I avoid MIA like the plague. Even with Global Entry, I've missed connections due to congestion. MIA CBP makes DFW look competent, and that's not saying much.

All MD80 routes will touch ORD/DFW until the end. Out stations will disappear quickly. But given where they are routed, DEN/DTW/MSP/RDU/STL will be some of the last destinations.

Didn't take long to "move xxx (BOS) to DTW." If there was a business case for it I'm sure SK would.

Is there a route DTW cannot support? I wish DTE the best, but OSL-DTW on SK when Star Hub ORD is not served (a DY opportunity).
