RE: Jet Lag

For myself I made the experience, when I am traveling to the West and the temperature spread is high. The effect is much higher than in opposite direction. Maybe this is also related to the different length of daytime. Actually I am living in China but I am from Germany. So If I go home I also trave...

RE: Baddoubles - I Am Going Crazy

I fully agree what Art mentioned above. If the rules are clear, the frustration would be less for all sides.
BTW great shoots.

RE: Poor English Speaking Pilots

I didn't say it makes no sense to keep English as an ATC language with international Traffic. But I see on your reaction that I hit the point. And not all pilots speak English. So its highly possible to reach some places ...

RE: Poor English Speaking Pilots

Hey Matheyroy, you mentioned that English is the most talken language in the world. Did you ever think about the Chinese? 1 5th of the world citizens are Chinese and they are all talking mandarin. If they use the same arguments like native English speakers do, then the British and Americans are runn...

RE: Cascade Type Thrust Reversers?

I believe the plane is on a engine testrun after maintenance. Have seen this at our airport when they doing testrun after maintenance. The thrustreverser on a 747 was deployed one by one. From that viewpoint its nothing special. But during normal operation I don't think its healthy. Cheers Manfred

RE: No Flaps Takeoff On Airbus 300?

Extending of flaps has a similar affect as increasing pitch by the cost of higher drag. For an efficient flight its mandatory to keep the drag as low as possible. The other factor is the speed during t/o. When the Aircraft can reach the needed speed on the runway then every plane can start without e...

RE: Your Opinions: Why Was This Pic Rejected?

In my opinion here are some intollerant beancounters acting as screeners. I am wondering to which standards the screeners are refering? Just the taste of the screeners? In my opinion the picture is leveled. The horizon looks for me pretty well. Someone who ever fly by himself knows that sometimes th...

RE: Compact Flash Card Acting Up

It seems there are some driver problems with Windows and Canon. When my Canon printer is connected to the USB port the CF Card will not be recognized properly. If I want download Pictures I need to disconnect the printer first. Think there is are some bugs in the drivers from Canon. Cheers Manfred

RE: Rejection Statistics Available!

Hello, the statistic is easy to cheat. If a photo is rejected put it in the appeal queue and delete it complete. After deleting all rejected pics I got 100% acceptance ratio. And beleave me I am a lousy photographer. Upload Statistics for All time Photographer: Manfred Burkert Total uploads: 12 Tota...

Oh yeah, I also got an rejection due dirt. I am now confused, because I am not in the position to ask the operator to wash the plane. http://airliners.net/procphotos/rejphot...
