The flight crew reported that the cockpit door had opened during the depressurization event. In
a revision to the Flight Crew Operations Manual, issued on January 15, 2024, Boeing confirmed
that the door functioned as designed.

It was posted far earlier in the thread that the force applied by the lower spring mechanisms appear to assist in being able to lift the plug clear of the 12 side-stop posts for plug removal, but do not have the spring force necessary to actually "push" the plug up clear of the side-posts ...

AAR's response after Deutsche Bank also noted this morning that the plugs are sometimes opened during WiFi installs. AAR is claiming that they didn't open the door plug on this aircraft during its install visit or do any work near it, which I guess is a bit relative considering the antenna goes rig...
