I always felt that communicating with the person in front and back regarding things like reclining was a great way to manage a situation that involves other humans. But what do I know? Apparently, passively communicating through kneeing the person’s seat is the appropriate way to deal with it.

I believe many on ALM flight 980 used them when their DC-9 ditched in the Caribbean. 40 of the 57 pax survived and waited about 90 minutes before they were rescued. So, I presume they were indeed used and were effective.

I go to ERAU at the Bay Area campus and I’ve found it more than worth the admittedly high cost and I’ve had lots of opportunities so far. My experience is with their bachelors program, but I knew a few who did their masters there and have great jobs. Let me know if you have other questions.
