They’ll be multi use gates as well. Bottom level will handle international services, top floor will handle domestic departures. The BA flight was actually one of their best performing routes, with the 787-10 daily upgauge this summer before COVID. There was speculation DL was gonna add CDG as well....

There was a nice send off for DL88 at IAD, and it was a fun flight. But am I the only one who was surprised by the lack of any real welcome in ATL, other than the water cannons and the pre-arranged ramp tour? It seems IAD really outdid ATL and DL on this one.

Edited to add: As someone noted on another site, this appears to be the last regularly scheduled passenger flight of any McDonnell Douglas aircraft in the United States. So really a pretty big deal. No love for the MD-95s then... Yeah, not the same. Made in Dallas, not Long Beach. Now that's settle...

BA was supposed to start running 78J's into DFW this month, but obviously those plans will be pushed back til who knows when. Right now, BA is serving DFW with 788's 2-3 times a week. Speaking of the remaining MD-88 routes, anyone know what is up with DL 1317 today? Flightaware shows it operated IAD-ATL normally, but Google shows it diverted to ORF, and delta.com shows it was scheduled to operate IAD-ORF-ATL, but went IAD-ATL. Did they declare a diversion and then cancel it?
