Re: AS using non-branded OO CRJ2s

Whatever it takes to keep flying. Horizons cancellations have really hurt the brand in the smaller markets in the Pacific Northwest. I can’t think of a better gift to Southwest in Boise. Alaska is the cause of the issues at Horizon. So whatever harm Horizon has done to hurt the brand is the result ...

Why not simply have OO take over QX operations. I see no future for QX under Alaska Airlines. Air Group doesn't seem to care about it, but there is a contract that they have with QX they can't "simply" get ride of. Not to mention the people who have their career with Horizon. Always amaze...

Re: Delta pilot hits female passenger

It was the airline staff who have no respect, for the law, or their customers, in many of these cases. And they need to be reminded they are not above the law, and cannot have citizens beaten up because the airline screwed up and now they need to get rid of someone to fix it. That is borderline fac...

Pilot needs to be fired. No excuse for assault but you don't slap someone's phone out of someone's hands. The aircraft is private property and the employees can stop any unwanted photography they want but an airport (usually) is limited-public property meaning if you have business there, you have e...

Re: Compass Airlines relocating all pilots, other jobs to LAX & SEA

Compass only exists at AA because management needed to get the MQ pilots to play ball which they didn't. It is clear that AA is bringing as much flying as possible to the WO carriers. This makes sense because the money stays in AAG's hands. With the movement in the industry, there won't be that dra...

Re: Compass Airlines relocating all pilots, other jobs to LAX & SEA

I along with my fellow MQ pilots hope that these planes do come back to MQ. While I don't fly the 175, I support bringing as much flying as possible back to the wholly owned carriers. Trans States, Compass, and Air Wisconsin are/were all replaceable. If you were not paying attention, Envoy is repla...

Re: Horizon Air pilots threaten to strike for higher pay

There is no reason QX shouldn't have a flow to AS. 25% of all AS classes filled with QX pilots. It would cut down on labor costs for AAG (turning the most senior and highly paid QX pilots into the the most junior AS pilots, who would have been hired anyways) as well as provide career progression an...

The ERJ doesn't need extremely cold temps to have issues. If it was cold soaked for the night it often had problems when you first turned it on. The gremlins would slowly go away as the plane started to warm up.
